A Little Piece of Paradise...in South East London?!?

I was told by a friend that she had been for a great meal at the Pasha hotel in Camberwell, London and that they had a spa too, so I decided to check it out.

Now I'm a BIG fan of relaxation treatments and when I can, I jump at the chance, so checked online and saw they had a - wait for it - TURKISH BATH?!?!

Now having been to the country many times over the past 10 years, I got UBER excited at the prospect and soon found myself filling out the online form to complete for an appointment. I called one of my girl's to which she agreed- although she did later tell me she thought "Oh no, what she got us doing now!" Haha!

A lovely guy named Altay called me back and was great at advising on going with their Magnifique Ritual (even the name sounds like royalty, don't you think?), along with arranging a time most suitable for me and one of my girls who had never experienced such a delight before.

Altay went to the trouble to ensuring we had the place to ourselves too, which made the while experience feel extra special!!

Having gone by this place a ridiculous amount of times and not knowing this secret gem before, I almost feel like kicking myself, but better late than never huh?

On entering the Pasha Hotel entrance, the first thing I immediately mentioned to my friend was the wonderful aromatherapy smells that hit me, along with it being beautifully decorated and looking very posh for something you wouldn't expect in that part of the neighbourhood, which is turn pleasantly surprised me.
We were warmly greeted by a guy named Sam, who showed us to the room we would be using which is located next to the Turkish Bath steam room.

It was decorated like something out of an opulent Turkish movie, in rich reds, greens, purples and black with lanterns for lighting and rich mahogany wood furniture trimmings in the dressing room...LUSH!

Sam then gave us time to get changed, offered us to help ourselves to some water in a glass water dispenser with freshly cut orange slices inside (nice touch!) and to enter the steam room...

Excited we entered the beautiful marble room and took a seat at the end on the biggest seat at the back of the room. Now the room isn't not as large as one in Turkey - but come on this is London and that amount of marble would set you back a pretty large some of money. But it's a fair size and enough space to enjoy the experience.

So after 20 mins or steam, both Altay and Sam came back in and proceeded to give us a Natural Pink Himalayan Salt scrub, in a massage motion from head-to-toe....then after a rinse down (from running water in the stunning marble sink bowls which had a brass fish on one tap and frog on the other, cute), we then got the wonderful bubble in a special pillow (for those of you who don't know, it's being covered head to toe in a mass of soft bubbles), which is this case were made out of organic almond and olive oils, one word....BLISS.
We were asked to turn around and the guys set to giving us a massages which left us both lost for words (and for those who know us, that is a mean feat ha!) in a total state of zombie-like relaxation.

Then the guys rinsed the bubbles off and finished with asking said friend and I to face each other and had a brass bowl full of organic honey and said it was the end and we could help ourselves to as much as we liked and to rub from head to toe (hair included), leave to steam and then to rinse with hot water and use the shower and shampoo gels provided.
Sam and Altay. :-)

All in all this was 2 hours of heaven, we felt like new pampered women and my friend & I are looking forward to arranging the next appointment already!!

They also have a highly recommended restaurant and hotel, which will another stop in the near future... ;-)

Okay so the cost is over £60 for this particular treatment, but to be honest, my my friend's words "We easily spend more than this on a night out."
I agree, along with the fact we can easily spent money polluting our body, so why not treat our bodies to something great that makes feel new again?
After all Health is our Wealth!!

And for those who are still unsure they were awarded the Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor in 2014 if you need any more persuasion!

Whether you're local to the area, or not, it's 100% DEFINITELY worth a visit - we highly recommend!!
There are many other cheaper treatments, which suit all budgets, just take a look in the link above, but make sure you book early, as their appointments disappear very quickly in advance - especially the weekends!

Thursday 19th March - POWLIVEPROJECT Presents Mica Paris.

This event next week has just come to my attention and I 100% think it'll be worth a visit.

It's the start of a new live music project which will be held at the Prince of Wales in Brixton, London on Thursday 19th March from 7:30pm.

Up North there are live bands everywhere and this event has my full approval, as I feel there's nothing accessible like this down South and I -for one- welcome with open arms!

Tickets are £30, but I've just spotted them on FB (links with full details under print) on offer for HALF PRICE!! So you'd better snap them up quick before they revert to normal price!

Have a great weekend and enjoy the weather while it lasts!

Market House + Mama's Jerk = Match Made in Heaven.

After my last visit to Market House, I had a bit of trepidation of what to expect...but I was NOT disappointed.
On the lead up to my reservation, I had 2 calls confirming the space I had asked for and they now have voice mail, which is significant progress of last month's communication issues! :-D

I had invited family and friends to come join me for B-day eats and drinks.

The tables were waiting ready for us this time and the staff -although rushed off their feet which is to be expected for a Friday night-were on the ball and attentive - high five to the Market House team on the great improvement, the hard work has paid off!!

Mama's Jerk have currently taken over the M H kitchen and boy was we looking forward to this!!

It didn't take long for me to decide on the Salt fish Cakes with sweet potato fries, which came with plantain and coleslaw and the seasoning on the fishcakes were perfect.
This is soul food which is made from the heart!
My cousins had the Jerk BBQ chicken, which came with the same sides and they commented it was delicious.
One of the girls had the spicy bean cakes with same sides again and said she was in heaven and another had the Jerk chicken wrap and enjoyed every bite!!

You'd better be quick if you want to catch these guys, as they're at Market House until Sunday 15th March, so move it and you won't regret it!!

Birthday Edit - What will the Genie Bring Me? #Wishlist

So with the Birthday coming up, what better time than to post my first Wish List?!?
(Here comes the fun and randomly eclectic part!) :-D

I have never been run of the mill, or followed the crowd when it comes to anything in life and as you guys know it's the little things that count...so first off I wanted to be back to full health for my Birthday and spirits willing I'm am returning to just that, along with getting LONG OVERDUE together with family and friends this weekend, with fun, food, dancing and quite a bit of my fav tipple (Champs), the thought alone is GETTING ME SO EXCITED!!!!

So a flight to somewhere hot, tickets to see Earth, Wind & Fire (still one of my favourite all time bands), a trip to Rye Wax as I've not been scouring for music in AGES! Some new Designer Sunnies (you can never have enough!), a bigger hand luggage case (one of those checklist things, which I've still to check off!) and some marraccas (I told you, I'm random & best to include things I want and still yet to buy myself!) are top of my list...other favourites include vouchers to go towards spa treatments and some time out!

The weather is predicted to be the hottest in the UK so far this year, which is another thing that will make me smile.

Do you have anything fun planned this weekend?

Have a great weekend, whatever you plan to do!

We Have Arrived Into Our Time... #PISCES

For those of you who are unaware, not only have we all entered the Year of the Goat / Sheep last month, we have also recently entered into the sign of the Piscean...

#Pisceslove
I am quite true to my sign in some respects, except for being a completely helpless dreamer...I'm a lot more focused towards my goals and take pride in helping others achieve theirs too.

#Makedreamsreality

After spending the past week horrendously ill (always remember: HEALTH IS OUR WEALTH!), being set back a week with my Insanity Max:30 training - which I was 2 weeks off from finishing, might I add(!) - more annoyed than anything...can you tell? ;-)
But like a Caterpillar, I'm currently in a chrysalis, awaiting my wings to form so I can fly.

I am now looking forward to starting next weekend as I always do...for my Birthday to go off with a funtastic, musically related BANG!! I'm looking foward to catching up with family and friends and seeing old faces, along with meeting new ones - BRING...IT...ON.

#Empoweringothers

For those that know me, my Birthday has never been a day, but merely the month of March and long may it continue that way!! :-D
I have some real treats in store next month, which I'll post along the way as they happen and one personally for me is a particular GEM...like LEGENDARY...hehe!

I'm lucky to be currently surrounded by some magical people in my life (y'all know who you are), they are worldwide and keep in touch by the power of whatsapp.

Together we empower each other, along with encouraging others around us & keep striving to make the world around us happier place!!

Are you a fellow Piscean who will be celebrating and what are you planning to do?
